Grammaleta came up to celebrate the day with us, which was just wonderful, as it really helped to make the day feel more special in that we could share it with another loved member of our family. She helped us to make the meal so festive and tasty, too! I would never have been able to do so well without her expert help. We had a great turkey, with stuffing, green bean casserole, cranberry holiday relish, mandarin salad, honey-wheat rolls, pickles, olives, and cherry spritzer for the main course. For dessert we had pumpkin pie or apple dumplings with fresh whipped cream. Hhmmm -yummy, yummy good!!!
Of course, we had a lot of discussion on what we were thankful for this year and we read from the Bible (Isaiah 9). All in all, it was a fulfilling day and we were very thankful to be together.
