getting back to blogging

HI, I'm blogging again, finally! Yes, I know, I know, it's taken me too long - honestly, I kind of forgot about it! Just too many other things pressing for my attention, I guess. Talking to my nephew, Devin, yesterday and he reminded me. Thanks, Devin! :D It was nice to hear that I was missed.

My last blog was about going to see my mom for few days and I have a few pictures from that time, so I guess I should go back and tell about that time, to start with. We had a few days to go and see her, the children and myself. Samuel was looking forward to seeing Dean, and although Dean had to work every afternoon we were there, I think he had a good time. I had to make him go swimming with us (Grammaleta, Rhi, and me), a couple of times, which was kind of silly, because otherwise he just wanted to spend the whole time playing games on Dean's p/c. Going on even such a short "vacation" (four days) was a bit of a trial for me without my hubby, Todd. Mom was really great, of course. She took us out shopping and out for dinner a few times, always treating us so generously! We went to a couple of new places with her, one in particular was a Japenese Sushi restaurant. (Note: where we took some photos.) That was really good! Mom also watched Rhiana one night so I could take the boys out to a movie. She said Rhi did well, only once going around her apartment saying, "Mimi, Mimi", evidently looking for me. Aww! It kind of made me feel good to be missed by her, but also a little sad too. I don't want my little girl to feel like she can't find me or that I'm not there for her; of course, that's what Grandma's are for! I wish my mom lived in our same city. Well, I wish I lived near all of my family. I miss them a whole bunch!
