Just looking at my blog...it's pathetic! I'm so behind on everything! I can work on it for a few minutes...but it needs some major TLC. Okay, I have to go already!

Tonight I am waiting for my little toddler, Rhiana, to fall asleep while I am writing this update to my journal. She is growing so fast! It's so fun and amazing to me how she is changing and learning so many new things. She is rather quick-witted and a challenge to keep occupied with something to do, although at times she is very good at keeping herself busy with a toy or activity.
Well, we've been in Florida now for over 4 weeks!!! It's just wonderful! :D We are having so many experiences each day; God is definitely working here in people's lives. An uncle of mine recently was hurt while using a table-saw. He is fine, thanks to the great Protector. When he might have lost a finger, he just has stitches and pain. Yes, God is ever merciful! Praise You, Father!
Todd's job is going well; he has good days and some not-so-good days. Just like anywhere else, really. He is enjoying getting to know some of his fellow co-workers and joking around with them has kept him from getting too bored or losing heart about how the work is done. He is working a late shift, but it's not too bad. He's home for a good portion of the day, and most importantly, it's a great time for the children to see something of him every day.
For me, the big thing is being around family again. Just having loved ones near and being able to talk and listen to one another and know what each of us is going through...it's just wonderful!
I actually don't have much energy to stay at this much longer; I've been tired for a couple of days now, so I should probably go to sleep. G'night!

long time since last post

WOW. I can't believe I let so much time go by since my last post. Yet, when you consider that I joined Facebook last January, it's no wonder. That and all the traveling and moving we have done, too! Yes, I said, "moving". We have moved from Kentucky all the way to Florida! It's so amazing to me and still just registering in my brain. We have been down here for just a couple of days, now. YIPEE! It's so neat to think of my life taking such a different turn, for the better, too, we hope.
At first, we are going to stay with my parents (near Tampa Bay), just until we find our own place. Todd and I are not sure on just what exactly we want, so we are talking about every (and I mean, EVERY) possibility. From buying a "toy" trailer to building onto my parents existing house to renting again to buying a property of our own! It's so hard...but better now that we know for sure that Todd has a job here. Yes, praise GOD! He will be working at the Tampa International Airport. It's with a company that has rented a hangar to service jets from airlines like Southwest and JetBlue. It's a HUGE blessing.
Most of my time is spent with our daughters, these days. Having a three year old and a 11 month old is very demanding. Yet, I want to work at something that would not only bring-in extra income but also be rewarding to me, as a creative person. Maybe along the lines of photography, since I was into that awhile back...who knows? Only God does!

Travel and Praise

Here we are at Grandad's in Florida. It's so nice and warm here! Nothing like where we are from - it's 27 degrees and feels like 15 with the wind chill factor. Ouch! We have to go home, today, too. Bummer. Yet, I am so happy 'cause I am thinking of all the good times we have been able to have. We were able to get flight benefits thru my husband's work and have flown all over the place! IT'S SO AWESOME! This was our third trip to FL in the last five months and we also have just recently been out to visit Hugh's family in Oregon. YEP. That was a wonderful trip, too! Once I get home I'll have to spend some more time posting and sharing from it all. (It'll probably take a couple of days to do it!) Oh, I love my life! God has blessed me and my family so, so much!!! Praise YOU, Heavenly Father! We love You!

June 2008

Here it is, June 13th, already! WOW!! Kayleigh is four weeks old, today! She is more aware of her surroundings, now and continues to grow and becomes more a part of our daily lives. It's just amazing...all of it! Of course, Kayleigh has been a "part of us" for the last ten months! ;)

There seems to be so many things happening in our family, right now. My mom has been here since the night we had to goto the hospital...funny, huh?!? "How did you plan that one, Mom?" Seriously, we're so glad she made it! (She stayed with Samuel and Rhiana for us.) Mom has been helping out so much! She stays with me while Todd is at work, and then she works at Lowe's on his days off. It's been working out well. We also have fun watching movies and shopping a little, or like tonight, she's willing to watch the two oldest while we go out for a "date night". I won't like it when she leaves! (That is something we haven't figured out yet, either.) Mom is also a big help when it comes to giving Todd and I advice. Advice on anything and everything! Mostly, on child-rearing. It's such a blessing! Thanks-a-bunch, Mom!

Now, as for Todd, he is looking into all kinds of possibilities as to what kind of work he would like to be doing. He is interested in land developement, personal sawmill business, aviation maintainence facility, rapid-response team for private jets, apartment building and maintainence, semi-truck driving, management in aviation, etcetera and etcetera! The list just never ends. Of course, as his wife, I am supportive of just about everything and just continue to pray that God can show him what he is meant to do and open the right doors for it to come about; hopefully, soon. Both Todd and I want more for our family than what we are experiencing, right now.

One thing Todd has done in the last couple of weeks is apply for flight benefits from work; that is a major plus! We can fly just about anywhere, now! Even to Europe, twice a year!!! I want to go everywhere! Of course, we're planning a trip to Florida, soon. We hope to be able to get down there for the July 4th weekend. Everyone there wants to see Kayleigh Grace and I especially want to see my sister, Haley and her family. We haven't been to Florida since last summer; it just seems sooo long ago! Jeffrey and Haley's little boy, Vincent "Monty" has grown so much this first year and I can't wait to see him. Rhiana wants to go swimming in their pool and also wants to visit "Auntie Haley" and "My Vincent".

Enough for now....
